Company overview

Evolution is a B2B supplier of live casino games, game shows, slots and related technology for online casino operators. The company says it was founded in 2006 with a single studio in Latvia. In its 20th-anniversary announcement in 2026, it reported more than 22,000 employees, a network of 24 studios and more than 770 operator customers.

Its timeline records a listing on Nasdaq First North Premier in Stockholm in March 2015, a move to Nasdaq Nordic in 2017 and a change of name from Evolution Gaming to Evolution in 2020.

Evolution credits Dream Catcher, launched in 2017, with creating its live game show category. Later releases include Lightning Roulette (2018), which added RNG multipliers to a live roulette table, and MONOPOLY Live (2019). Crazy Time, Mega Ball and Lightning Baccarat all launched in 2020. Infinite Blackjack, launched in 2018, lets an unlimited number of players share one table.

The group has also grown through acquisitions. Its timeline lists Ezugi (2018), NetEnt and Red Tiger (2020), an agreement to acquire Big Time Gaming (2021) and Nolimit City (2022). Current brands listed on its site also include Sneaky Slots and DigiWheel.

Evolution publishes a licence register covering jurisdictions in Europe, North America, Latin America and Africa. Its about page states that Evolution Malta Holdings Limited is licensed in Great Britain by the Gambling Commission, and that Evolution Gaming Malta Limited is licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority.
